Always measure with steel tape. Never use cloth tape.
Measure sizes to the nearest eighth of an inch (1/8").
On your notes clearly indicate which measurement is the width and which is the height. It is very common to transpose measurements. Try to always measure the width first, then height.

Inside Mount
( The shade will be installed at the top of the window, inside the frame)

The window frame must be deep enough to accommodate a 1 1/2 " mounting board.

1.Measure inside width at the top. Factory will deduct 1/8 " from overall width.

2. Measure inside height of window opening. No allowance is made for length.

Outside Mount
( The shade will be installed above the window.)

1. Width: measure exact width of area to be covered. Add sufficient overlap of 2 inches on each side of window opening. Factory will make no allowances.

2. Measure height of area to be covered allowing a minimum of 2 1/2 " at top of window to allow for headrail and installation brackets.
